  2. This is a listing of FF disks 149 - 178 that the AUGKC has in its library.

  5. This is disk 149 of the freely distributable AMIGA software library.
  6.  
  7. AnimalSounds    A sample of digitized animal sounds along with a simple 
  8.         sound player.
  9.         
  10. DX-VoiceSorter    Written to be used with Jack Deckard's VoiceFiler program.
  11.         (Disk 82).  
  12.  
  13. Keep        A nice little utility program with an intuition interface
  14.         for BBS and network junkies who download messages in one 
  15.         large file and then read them off-line. 
  16.  
  17. Less        Like Unix "more", only better, with forward and
  18.         backward scrolling, searching and positioning by
  19.         percent of file and line number, etc. 
  20.  
  21. Scheme        To quote the ReadMe file:
  22.         "Scheme is a statically scoped and properly tail-recursive
  23.         dialect of the Lisp programming language invented by
  24.         Guy Lewis Steele Jr. and Gerald Jay Sussman."

  34. ExecLib        A working example of how to build and use user-defined
  35.         disk-resident libraries.  Of special interest to developers
  36.         working with Lattice C.  
  37.         
  38. Iconizer    A utility program that saves your current mouse pointer
  39.         to a small icon.  
  40.  
  41. Pilot        An implementation of the PILOT language for the Amiga, 
  42.         including a demo done for the National Park Service.
  43.         
  44. StealMemBoot    A small utility designed to be a direct replacement for 
  45.         NoFastMem kind of programs.

  48.  
  49. GlobeDemo    A graphics demo which displays very smooth transitions of
  50.         the rotating earth.  Features a pop-up menu.  Includes
  51.         source.

  53. Icons        Yet another potpourri of interesting icons to choose
  54.         from if you need one for your own program.
  55.         
  56. Pcopy        A small intuition-based disk copier similiar to 
  57.         the resident "DiskCopy" except with write-verify 
  58.         and other user-selectable options.  
  59.  
  60. SCT        A CLI-based utility (SetColorTable) for displaying and/or
  61.         setting a screen's colors. 
  62.  
  63. SlideShow    Very nicely done slide-show program written in assembly
  64.         language.  
  65.  
  66. Surveyor    A little utility that opens a window on the current 
  67.         screen and displays information about the pointer.

  69. This is disk 152 of the freely distributable AMIGA software library.
  70.  
  71. Blk        A requester making tool employing various recursive
  72.         algorithms including a recursive parser. 
  73.  
  74. RunBack        A variant of Rob Peck's RunBackGround program from disk 
  75.         number 73.  Allows you to start a new CLI program and run
  76.         it in the background, then closes the new CLI.  
  77.  
  78. UUCP        This is a version of uucp (Unix to Unix Copy Program)
  79.         for the Amiga, along with some miscellaneous support
  80.         utilities like cron, mail, and compress.  Includes source.

  82. This is disk 153 of the freely distributable AMIGA software library.
  83.  
  84. Dme        Version 1.30 of Matt's text editor.  Dme is a simple 
  85.         WYSIWYG editor designed for programmers.  It is not a
  86.         WYSIWYG word processor in the traditional sense.  
  87.         
  88. HP11        Emulates an HP11C calculator including the program mode.
  89.         
  90. HPMam        A program to manipulate settings and fonts on HP LaserJet+
  91.         printers and compatibles. 
  92. Synthemania    An interesting, very small (and very persistent!) musical
  93.         piece.

  96. This is disk 154 of the freely distributable AMIGA software library.
  97.  
  98. Ada        An Ada Syntax checker for the amiga.  Includes lex and
  99.         yacc source.
  100.         
  101. AssemblyDemos    A interesting group of assembly language demos for your 
  102.         visual and aural pleasure.  Binary only.
  103.         
  104. DiskLib        Two utilities for those people who like to split up PD
  105.         disks into disks of different categories.  Includes source.  
  106.         
  107. Guardian    Another virus diagnosing and vaccination program.
  108.         Recognizes any non-standard bootblock. 
  109.  
  110. PrintSpool    A print-spooling program.  Very useful for printing files
  111.         in the background.  Many command-line options.  
  112.  
  113. Utilities    A group of four little utility programs, Cal, Undelete
  114.         DClock and WhereIs. 
  115.  
  116. VirusX        An update to the virus-detecting program of the same 
  117.         name on disk number 137.  This version also checks for
  118.         the Byte-Bandit strain.  
  119.  
  120. Virus_Alert!    Yet another anti-virus program with a twist.  Once
  121.         installed a message is displayed just after a warm or
  122.         cold boot notifying the the user  that the disk and
  123.         memory are virus-free, and forcing a mouse-button press
  124.         before continuing.  
  125.  
  126. Wicon        A "Window Iconifier".  Allows you to turn your windows
  127.         into small icons which can be later recalled.

  132. AsmExamples    A couple of assembly code examples.  
  133.  
  134. Bison        A replacement for unix "yacc" command.  This is from
  135.         the GNU (GNU is Not Unix) effort.  
  136.         
  137. NoSmoking    Sample program showing the use of a recoverable alert
  138.         while displaying a personal health message.  Includes
  139.         source.  
  140.         
  141. Scenery        A very nice assembly language random scenery generator.
  142.         Generates very realistic looking landscapes.

  147. Blocks2        Amusing and colorful display of a moving trail of 
  148.         "blocks".  
  149.  
  150. Flex        Flex is a replacement for the UNIX "lex" (lexical
  151.         analyzer generator) program that is faster than
  152.         lex, and freely redistributable.  
  153.  
  154. Go64        Another screen hack aimed at an earlier Commodore product
  155.         
  156. Grammars    A group of lexical grammar files for Ada, C and Pascal for 
  157.         use in conjunction with the flex program on this disk and 
  158.         the bison program on disk #155
  159.         
  160. OOPS!        Tired of the monochrome background color of your Workbench
  161.         or CLI?  Then try this colorful screen hack to brighten 
  162.         things up!  Includes source.

  164. This is disk 157 of the freely distributable AMIGA software library.
  165.  
  166. 60or80        A small utility to toggle the 60/80 column text modes
  167.         without having to go through preferences.  
  168.  
  169. AmicForm    Creates a phonebook containing only those areacodes and
  170.         exchanges reachable through PC-Pursuit. 
  171.  
  172. AnimBalls    A nifty little animation program that allows you to 
  173.         create a collection of balls in three-space and then
  174.         interactively rotate them in real time using the mouse.
  175.         
  176. BootBack    A handy little utility to copy and save the boot block
  177.         from a disk, then later restore it should the disk 
  178.         get stomped on by some ugly virus.  Includes source.
  179.         
  180. ECPM        A CP/M emulator for the Amiga.  Emulates an 8080
  181.         along with H19 terminal emulation. 
  182.  
  183. KeyFiler    A BBS message file sorter that allows sorting by keyword. 
  184.         Includes a textreader, 
  185.  
  186. ScreenZap    A little utility to clean away screens that are left
  187.         by ill-behaving programs. 
  188.  
  189. SetPrefs    Allows you to build a whole library of preference settings
  190.         and instantly switch back and forth between them.  
  191.  
  192. Xicon        Xicon lets you use icons to call up scripts containing CLI
  193.         commands.

  196. This is disk 158 of the freely distributable AMIGA software library.
  197.  
  198. DiskX        Nicely done Sector-based disk editor.  Binary only
  199.         
  200. MemBoardTest     Originally designed for production testing of A1000 memory
  201.         boards. Very nice intuition interface.  Version 2.4,
  202.  
  203. MSDOS        A program to list files written in standard MS-Dos or
  204.         Atari ST format.  The files can then be copied to Ram and 
  205.         rewritten to disk in Amiga-Dos format.  Binary only, 
  206.         
  207. PCBTool        An early version of a shareware PC Board layout program
  208.          Lots of options including variable size pads and traces,
  209.         grids, grid snap, layers, zoom, selectable centering,
  210.         text and more.  This version does not support printer/
  211.         plotter dumps or libraries.  Version 2.6, binary only.
  212.         
  213. ScreenX        A handy little background utility that provides a small
  214.         clock/memory counter in its inactive mode and a versatile
  215.         screen manipulator when called upon. 
  216.  
  217. TaskX        A "real-time" task editor.  Lets you list and set the 
  218.         priorities of all the currently running tasks.  Binary
  219.         only, Version 2.0. 
  220.         
  221. VirusX        Update to the version on disk number 154, checks for 
  222.         a couple of additional new strains.  Includes source,
  223.         Version 1.6.
  224.         
  225. YachtC3    Update to the Yachtc program on disk #10, contains some fixes
  226.         and incorporates a simple sound process.  Version 3

  230. This is disk 159 of the freely distributable AMIGA software library.
  231.  
  232. Free        A little command to put in your c directory that returns
  233.         memory status and number of tasks currently served by EXEC.
  234.         
  235. MidiTools    A group of several different utility programs for those
  236.         who run a Midi system.  Binary only.
  237.         
  238. StarChart      Nicely done intuition based program to display and identify
  239.         about 600 stars, galaxies and nebulae visible in the Northern
  240.         hemisphere.  Version 1.2, includes source.
  241.         
  242. TaskControl    Nicely done task-handling program allowing you to put to 
  243.         sleep, kill or change priorities of the all the currently
  244.         loaded tasks.

  246. TUC        "The Ultimate Clock".  Another window title clock/memory 
  247.         minder.

  250. This is disk 160 of the freely distributable AMIGA software library.
  251.  
  252. Calls        A little utility to help analyze the flow of a C-program by
  253.         laying out the functions called in a hierarchical manner.
  254.         
  255. Check        A useful little utility for finding structural errors
  256.         in C-source code.  Many command-line options.  Version
  257.         1.03, binary only.
  258.         
  259. Dis        A 68000 disassembler, written in assembly, this is an update
  260.         to the version on disk #128.  Includes source.
  261.         
  262. DMouse        A versatile screen & mouse blanker, auto window activator,
  263.         mouse accelerator, popcli, pop window to front, push
  264.         window to back, etc, widget.  Version 1.09, includes source.
  265.         
  266. DWIP        "Daisy Wheel IFF Printer".  A graphics printing utility
  267.         that allows the printing of IFF pictures on a daisy wheel
  268.         printer.  Includes source.
  269.         
  270. M4        A UNIX M4 look-alike macro processor intended as a
  271.             front end for Ratfor, Pascal, and other languages that do
  272.             not have a built-in macro processing capability.  
  273.  
  274. MemoPad        A shareware intuition-based memo reminder program.
  275.         Nicely done.  Update to version on disk #146, version
  276.         1.2, binary only.
  277.         
  278. NeuralNets    A neural network example using the generalized back-
  279.         propagation delta rule for learning, specifically applied
  280.         to the tabula rasa Little Red Riding Hood instance.

  284. This is disk 161 of the freely distributable AMIGA software library.
  285.  
  286. Friends        Cute little screen hack with command-line options to keep
  287.         your mouse pointer company when you step away.  Includes
  288.         source.
  289.         
  290. Getsprite    A simple little program to convert Dpaint brushes into 
  291.         C-source.  Binary only.
  292.         
  293. IncRev        A handy little program that will automatically increment
  294.         the revision number of a program every time it is recompiled.
  295.         
  296. LGZ        A Map generator/editor for the LGZ game.  
  297.  
  298. Mackie        A versatile cli/macro-key initiator based on POPCLI with
  299.         a unique method of "screen-blanking".  
  300.  
  301. Nag        A shareware appointment calendar with it's own editor and a
  302.         unique 'nagging' feature utilizing the Amiga's voice and
  303.         audio devices.    Version 1.6, binary only.
  304.         
  305. Perl        Practical Extraction and Report Language, an interpreted
  306.         language optimized for scanning arbitrary text files,
  307.         extracting information from those text files, and printing
  308.         reports based on that information.
  309.         
  310. VRTest        Another anti-virus utility that allows visual inspection
  311.         of ram starting a $7E7FE, ram cleaning, bootblock 
  312.         inspection and vector monitoring/reseting.  
  313.  
  314. XBoot        A very simple utility to convert a boot block into an 
  315.         executable file so you can use your favorite debugger
  316.         (Wack, Dis, etc.) to study it.  Includes source.

  319. This is disk 162 of the freely distributable AMIGA software library.
  320.  
  321. Avi        A workalike version of the UNIX vi editor for the amiga.
  322.         
  323. CLI_Utilities    This directory contains several subdirectories with 
  324.         small utilities, collected from various sources,
  325.         that are only usable from the CLI. 
  326.  
  327. Dark        A small graphics and animation demo.  Includes source.
  328.         
  329. Flow2Troff    A little utility to convert from New Horizons Software 
  330.         "FLOW" files to UNIX "troff" files, suitable for printing
  331.         on any troff-compatible laser printer.  Version 1.0,
  332.         
  333. LabyrinthII    A shareware role-playing text adventure game similar in 
  334.         operation to the Infocom text adventures.  Includes source.
  335.         
  336. Iffar        Maintains archives of Interchange File Format (IFF) FORM,
  337.         CAT and LIST  files in a manner  that complies with the
  338.         IFF CAT specification.  Version 1.2, includes source.
  339.         
  340. SetPALorNTSC    A couple of utility programs for testing the suitability
  341.         of a developed program in either the PAL or NTSC
  342.         environments.  Includes source and a sample program.
  343.         
  344. TES        "The Electronic Slave" adds a gadget strip to the top of
  345.         the cli window to perform such functions as device 
  346.         directories, info, run ED, and time.  
  347.         
  348. UnknownGirl    Another small musical piece similar in execution to
  349.         "Synthemania" on disk number 153.  Binary only.

  352. This is disk 163 of the freely distributable AMIGA software library.
  353.  
  354. Bankn        A complete checkbook system offered by the author as
  355.         shareware.  
  356.  
  357. FiveInLine    A board-playing game similiar to Go-Moku, Ristinolla, etc.
  358.         Fast-paced and quickly addictive!  Includes source.
  359.         
  360.  
  361. MachII    A "mouse accelerator" program that also includes hotkeys,
  362.         the features of sun mouse, clicktofront, popcli, title bar
  363.         clock with a bbs online charge accumulator, and    more. 
  364.         
  365. MemTrace    Routines to help debug memory allocation and freeing during
  366.         program development.  
  367.  
  368. PcPatch        Patches for PCCopy and PCFormat from the 'EXTRAS 1.2' disk,
  369.         to allow reading/writing/formatting 3.5 inch 360k (2 sides/
  370.         40 Tracks/9 sectors) MS-DOS disks.
  371.         
  372. ReadmeMaster    A nifty little database for finding those programs that 
  373.         you know exist somewhere (???) in the AmigaLibDisk library.
  374.         
  375. View        A mouse-oriented text file reader.

  378. This is disk 164 of the freely distributable AMIGA software library.
  379.  
  380. C-Functions    A group of four little C-functions to add to your library to
  381.         make your programming life a little easier.  
  382.   
  383. DiskSalv    Very useful program to recover files from a trashed AmigaDOS
  384.         disk.  
  385.  
  386. Hed        A handy little editor that is more user-friendly than 
  387.         "Ed", yet doesn't require the memorization of complicated
  388.         keystrokes of some of the larger, more powerful, editors.
  389.         
  390. Newton        Uses the "Newtons Method" algorithm to estimate both real
  391.         and imaginary roots of a polynomial of degree 20 or less.
  392.         
  393. NewZAP        A third-generation multi-purpose file sector editing utility,
  394.         from the author of FileZAP.  
  395.     
  396. PcView        Provides the PC community with the opportunity to display
  397.         IFF pictures to the best of EGA's ability. 
  398.         
  399. PolyRoot    Another Polynomial root-finder using the Newtonian algorithm.
  400.         
  401. PrtDrivers    A couple of new Printer Drivers.  One for Digital Equipment's
  402.         LN03+ laser printer, and one for Mannesmann Tally's MT420d
  403.         dot matrix.
  404.         
  405. Zoo        A file archiver, much like "arc" in concept, but different
  406.         in implementation and user interface details.

  408. This is disk 165 of the freely distributable AMIGA software library.
  409.  
  410. Conman        Extremely useful replacement for the standard console
  411.         handler, provides line editing and command line    histories.
  412.         
  413.  
  414. CPM        Another CP/M emulator independently authored from the version
  415.         that appeared on disk #157.
  416.  
  417. Parsnag        A program to aid in performing color separations on Epson
  418.         JX-80 printers.  Includes source. 
  419.         
  420. PlotView    A couple of programs, Plotview and Plot2Am, for viewing
  421.         UNIX plot files.  
  422.  
  423. RamCopy        A copy program designed for machines with 1 meg or more
  424.         of Ram and only one disk drive.  Allows you to copy a 
  425.         complete disk in only one pass.
  426.         
  427. SPUDclock    A simple program that uses the narrator device to speak the 
  428.         time at certain user specified intervals.  Lots of command
  429.         line options.  Version 1.2, includes source.
  430.

  432. This is disk 166 of the freely distributable AMIGA software library.
  433.  
  434. AutoGraf    Collects and graphically displays information on auto
  435.         mileage. 
  436.  
  437. Cref        A C cross referencer program.  Prints out your code with
  438.         line-numbers and complete key-word cross-referencing.
  439.         Update from version on disk #103 which had a serious
  440.         bug.  
  441.  
  442. MultiCalc    Yet another RPN type graphic calculator.  
  443.  
  444. Stevie        A public domain clone of the UNIX 'vi' editor.  
  445.

  447. This is disk 167 of the freely distributable AMIGA software library.
  448.  
  449. CDecl        English to C (and vice versa) translator for C
  450.         declarations.  
  451.  
  452. CLIcon        Allows you to run cli programs from the workbench, similar 
  453.         in operation to IconExec, but more versatile.
  454.         
  455. CloseMe        Another ingenious perversion in the screen hack category.
  456.         Don't miss this one...surely destined to become a classic!
  457.         
  458. DSM        (Dynamic Sound Machine) Demo version with "Save" disabled
  459.         of a program that will take any IFF sound or raw data and
  460.         save it as a totally self-contained, runable program.
  461.         
  462. MRPrint        A cli-based text file printing utility with lots of nice
  463.         features, including tab-to-space expansion, page headers,
  464.         line numbers, margin control with line-splitting and
  465.         pagination correction, ARP wildcard support, and auto-
  466.         rejection of files containing binary characters. 
  467.         Version 3.1, Includes source.
  468.         
  469. Smus3.6a    An enhanced version of the smus player that last appeared
  470.         on disk number 58.
  471.         
  472. Sounddemos      Some very nice demos for showing off the incredible audio
  473.         power of the Amiga!.

  477. This is disk 168 of the freely distributable AMIGA software library.
  478.  
  479. This is the also the first disk of a two disk "Matt Dillion special"
  480. containing binaries and sources to the latest versions of a great deal
  481. of Matt's many programs.  For a complete listing of the programs on these
  482. two disks, see the file called "README".

  485. This is disk 169 of the freely distributable AMIGA software library.
  486. This is the also the second disk of a two disk "Matt Dillion special"
  487. containing binaries and sources to the latest versions of a great deal
  488. of Matt's many programs.  For a complete listing of the programs on these

  492. This is disk 170 of the freely distributable AMIGA software library.
  493.  
  494. Aftterm        Commmunications program utilizing IBM 3278 terminal
  495.         emulation.  Binary only.
  496.         
  497. Dis6502        A ported 6502 disassembler with support added for C64
  498.         binary files.  Includes source.
  499.         
  500. FastText    Blitter based fast text rendering routines written in
  501.         assembly. 
  502.   
  503. MRBackUp    A hard disk backup utility that does a file by file
  504.         copy to standard AmigaDOS floppy disks. 
  505.         
  506. PtrAnim        Nifty pointer animation program, includes lots of samples,
  507.         a utility program and instructions on creating your own 
  508.         animations.  
  509.  
  510. Surf        Generates bezier surfaces of revolution.  Will produce some
  511.         amazing pictures of wineglasses, doorknobs, or other objects
  512.         one could turn on a lathe.  
  513.  
  514. Turbo        Opens a small window with a gadget that when selected,
  515.         turns off bitplane, sprite, copper and audio DMA, presumably
  516.         to increase system speed.  Includes source.

  519. This is disk 171 of the freely distributable AMIGA software library.
  520.  
  521. AZComm        Modified version of Comm 1.34 that contains Zmodem send,
  522.         receive, and resume receive.  Version 1.00, Binary only.
  523.         
  524. Maze        A couple of very nice demos for the creation and use of 
  525.         single-solution mazes, one of which is practically a
  526.         stand-alone game.  Includes source.
  527.         
  528. Sozobon-C    Atari ST version of what appears to be a full K&R freeware
  529.         C-compiler, assembler and linker.  
  530.  
  531. Xoper        Very comprehensive program to monitor and control system 
  532.         activity.

  536. This is disk 172 of the freely distributable AMIGA software library.
  537.  
  538. DataToObj    A utility to convert raw data files (sprites, image data,
  539.         text, etc.) directly into object code which can then be 
  540.         linked to the main program without the need to go through
  541.         the compiling process.  Includes source.
  542.         
  543. Handshake    A full featured VT52/VT100/VT102/VT220 terminal emulator.
  544.         
  545.  
  546. MFix        A small program to insert in the startup-sequence of the
  547.         commercial program, Marauder II, from Discovery Software,
  548.         International. 
  549.  
  550. PopInfo        A "shrinkable" workbench utility to show you some info 
  551.         that Workbench doesn't, such as free memory on external
  552.         devices, chip, fast, and total ram usage and more.  Version
  553.         2.0, Includes source.
  554.         
  555. ProCalc        A program that simulates an HP-11C programmable calculator.
  556.         Lots of enhancements and bug fixes since the original version
  557.         on disk number 139.  Version 1.2, binary only, shareware
  558.         
  559. Spiff        Make controlled approximations between two files.  Similar 
  560.         to "diff" but more versatile.

  564. This is disk 173 of the freely distributable AMIGA software library.
  565.  
  566. CrcLists    Complete CRC check files for disks 146-172 using the
  567.         crc program from disk 133.  These were made directly
  568.         from my master disks.
  569.         
  570. FileSelect    A FileIO selector, written 100% in assembly.  Version
  571.         1.0, includes source.
  572.         
  573. IffLib        A ready-to-use library to perform various manipulations
  574.         on IFF files.  
  575.  
  576. ILBM2C        Very useful utility for C-programmers.  Reads in a 
  577.         standard IFF ILBM file and outputs a file that can then
  578.         be included in your program.  
  579.  
  580. Tetrix        A addictive game of speed, skill and luck.  Based on a game
  581.         originally called Tetris.  
  582.  
  583. Uedit        Version 2.4g of this nice shareware editor.  Has learn

  622.         and place" method of determining your next living-room 
  623.         arrangement, this Amiga-ized version may be just what you 
  624.         need.  Binary only, shareware.

  626. Plot        Program to compute and plot 3 dimensional functions.
  627.         Major revision to PD version on disk number 49 by the 
  628.         same author.  Version 4.1, binary only, shareware.

  630. SafeBoot    Very handy intuition-based program to read and save 
  631.         custom bootblocks.  The bootblock can then be later 
  632.         restored should the disk become virus-infected.

  635. SendMorse    Brush up on your morse code with this simple program 
  636.         that will read an input textfile and output the characters

  652. This disk contains version V23-2A of Glenn Everhart's large and powerful
  653. spreadsheet program called AnalytiCalc, submitted to me directly by
  654. Glenn for inclusion in the library as an update to the version released
  655. on disk 144. AnalytiCalc is presented in entirely ZOOed form because it
  656. could not otherwise fit on a single disk. Because the auxiliary utilities
  657. were presented on disk 144, they are not repeated here.

  659. HyperNet
  660. --------
  661.     HyperNet is a small hypertext shell program for Amiga, presented
  662. with sources and brief documents. It was also submitted by Glenn Everhart,
  663. the author.
  664.     HyperNet allows a "master" AmigaDos process to control a series of
  665. connected processes, where the connections are randomly ordered directed
  666. graphs.
